“What do you think of it so far?”, we said.

And here are the replies…

I saw this amazing tribute band at Tauntons Brewhouse Theatre. Please don’t miss the chance to see them. One of the very best bands I have ever seen, the the guy on percussion, the drummer and bass player are outstanding and work beautifully together. Their front man and main singer is on a spring and great fun as well. As for Carlos himself, you will think it’s him in front of you, stunning lookalike and a real fretmaster on guitar. I can’t say enough in praise for this band. If you can, go and see them, they have a brilliant female singer and the guy on keys is great. You won’t be disappointedJohn McGinn commenting on Facebook
Arguably the finest band to have played here since The Rolling Stones back in 1963, Oye Santana not only raised the roof, they raised the bar for all future bands that follow them at this iconic venue. Their energy and note-perfect renditions of classic Santana numbers had a packed audience up on their feet to the Latin beat. Will we have them back again…? Too right we will!Paul Endacott, Music Promoter at One Kew Road, Richmond (The original Crawdaddy Club Venue)
Saw Oye Santana at Newmarket Memorial Hall on Saturday 22 April; they were awesome! The Santana sound is spot on, and, unlike some tribute bands, the musicians ooze character and a love of the music. If you like Santana, don’t miss this! Rob Richmond's 23/4/17 comment when signing up for our newsletter

I was at the show last night in Maidstone, The Hazlitt Theatre. Really enjoyable evening, excellent music and showmanship which created a great atmosphere. I hope to see your show again in the future.Rick Howlett, after our gig on 17/9/16
Individually you are all sounding better each time I see you. I know its not “all about the bass” but the extra punch was great. Percussion was fantastic. Vocals had even more pazas , keyboard as ever, brilliant. The guitarist ain’t half bad either. Samba Pa Ti still makes this old guy cry and I loved the addition of La Flaca. (I like the Jarabe de palo version too… next to yours of course). Keep it up. Looking forward to the next time when I’ll ask you to sign the CD. Hasta la vista.Phil Morrison, after our Norden Farm gig on 11/6/16
Just wanting to say how much we all enjoyed Fri at the Flowerpot Derby. It did us all good, I couldn’t stop smiling. I danced my legs off and realised just what good music does to your soul.Jean, Derby, after our gig on 10/6/16
Oye Santana celebrate the music of Carlos Santana with a quiet confidence that belies the excitement they generate on stage. Santana’s legacy is in the best possible hands.Pete Feenstra, promoter & radio presenter

First time watching you guys but won’t be the last, brilliantAndy Baker, 29 June at 18:59
It was the 3rd time we had seen Oye Santana. Last Friday’s performance at South Hill Park (greatly enhanced by a full stage) was a ‘sizzler’ and almost took the roof off – the band just seem to get better and better. They really have nailed the Santana sound!David Nicholls, 30 June at 21:09
Wilde Theatre last night. You guys are even better than last time, got me up dancing .Really enjoyed the show. thank youPhil Morrison, 28 June 2014

Santana and his eponymous band have been blending Mexican passion with rock energy since the 1960s: Oye Santana captures that heady blend with uncanny feeling. Yes, they faultlessly reproduced the music; they are accomplished musicians in their own rights. But more than that, they conjured up the atmosphere, the sheer hedonistic abandon to rhythm that lifts Santana from music to passionate maelstrom. This was no pale ‘photo copy’ of another band …they build a stunning performance.John Hancock, St Ives Times & Echo
You came west and were the best! The comments made by those who saw you on Saturday couldn’t praise the gig enough. For us we could not have wished for a better start to our run of gigs at the Guildhall St Ives. The professionalism of the band stood out in all aspects of the gig, from the sound check right through to the encore. And, may we say, what a nice bunch of guys. It’s true what they say: “Close your eyes and you can’t tell the difference” – Oye Santana clearly are one of the Best Tribute Bands Around. And we at Anjen Events look forward to working with you again hopefully in the not too distant future.Andy Percy, Anjen Events, St Ives Guildhall, Cornwall

Best eve seeing @OyeSantanaBand! loved every minute.. even did a cover of while my guitar gently weeps..stoked!!Tessa Hodges via Twitter
How would I describe Oye Santana… Well, ‘fantastic’ covers it I think. The band played an amazing set, with all my favourites dutifully covered, and the lead singer, Hector Gomez, managed to get all the ladies in the audience boogieing in the aisles. The real star of the show, though, is Milan ‘Carlos’ Webb, whose fabulous guitar was the real lasting memory of the evening.Mike Swift, reviewing Oye Santana's performance at Norden Farm, 5 December 2013, for the Reading Chronicle and its sister papers
Thanks to the whole band… I’m a lifetime fan of Santana, the man and the band. I enjoyed your performance at Norden Farm last night, fantastic. I’m 63 and this is the first time I’ve been moved to write and express my appreciation. Good luck, you deserve success. I’ll be coming to every concert that I can.Phillip Morrison

Dear Milan,
What a fantastic night we had when you played here in the Oye Santana band. Not only are you great musicians who do more than justice to the original band but your vocalist is superb.
The evening was a great success with all our customers begging to know when you will be returning which I know is booked for 12th July 2013. Look forward to having another fantastic evening.Caroline Shone, Proprietor, The Bird In Hand, Knowl Hill
It was November the 17th, another damp evening, and a pretty damp mood to be honest… until the arrival of the night’s band, Oye Santana. From the moment Milan, Gez, Barry and Hector started to set up, we had a feeling this was something a bit special – just from the quality of the equipment, and the way it was assembled.

Then came the start! We were transported to Latino Heaven! A band well apart from the norm, superb, professional… a band Carlos himself would have trouble faulting! Cannot wait for their return!Martin Harris, Landlord, The Duke's Head, Sandhurst

Oye Santana provided the final set on our Centenary celebrations and went down a storm with all age groups. We had children, parents and grandparents all dancing around the field and enjoying the ‘Santana sound’ which obviously appeals to all. The booking was easy (I was invited to a rehearsal to make sure the sound was what we wanted) and the band were professional throughout. Would I book them again? Certainly – they were a big hit.David Cook, Organizer, Heatherton House Centenary Concert
A friend suggested I book Oye Santana for my 50th – and what a treat that turned out to be. They rocked! And everybody danced.John Taylor, Birthday Boy, Radnage
Many thanks to you and the band for some excellent music. Great reports from everyone! No doubt see you all again in the future.Jennie Carr, Events Organizer, Marlow FM Ball
